So you want weekend date night ideas for the couple who have tried everything and are bored? Or the couple who are just starting out and want to impress. Well you came to the right place, that was the aim of this post. That was the thing we wanted to do. Create a list of fun, sexy, unique ideas for date nights that might just happen to go all Saturday night and into Sunday morning… Because they can. It’s a weekend date night! Yaaaay.
Beach camping is my favourite but heading out for an overnighter date night in the woods, in your backyard or at a local camp grounds (less so) is a fun and romantic date night. Hello fire, woot woo. You don’t need to take much if you are only going overnight, just somewhere to sleep, some rations and some water. Enjoy the great outdoors and get to know each other in a casual, non-tech environment. After all, there probably won’t be anywhere to charge your mobile phone.
Cheap and cheerful, stargazing on a crisp, clear night is THE BEST. Play some music from your vehicle, laze about on blankets with pillows, drinks and snacks and just enjoy each others company and the beauty of the skies. Don’t sound exciting enough for you? Well let me remind you that sometimes taking time to be quiet, to just lay back and talk is a GOOD THING. Give it a try.
There was a reason the drive-in was so popular. It’s called making out. So search your local area (or a little further afield if necessary), pack your hamper of goodies and your other half and head to the drive in. Grease related costume not essential. Fun, but not essential. Most drive-ins I’ve attended play two movies per evening so they run late, set up early, wander around and check the place out, then as the sun drops below the horizon enjoy the most fun movie experience you’ll ever have. Extra fun in winter when you can snuggle up with blanket and drink hot chocolate.
You’ve heard of the trampoline centre called Bounce right? Well it’s time to let your inner 5-year-old out and head to this wonderland of bouncy goodness. There’s always a ton or laughing and good times happening and you both get a chance to show off your moves, coordination and skills. And if you don’t have those things, then you get to show off how well you can laugh at yourself… Best check with your date they don’t have an injuries or medical type reasons not to go before you do. You’ll be shot if they have to sit on the sidelines while you have an awesome time!
Fun times, dark corners, time in line to talk… An amusement park date night is perfect for everything from hand holding, to making out in the shadows, getting to know each to learning some of your strengths (roller coasters) and weaknesses (the whirly circle things). Look for parks at are open late and for bonus points, pack a picnic to save you cash on food and drink. Plus, we all have wanted to be that adorable couple picnicking at the amusement park, admit it!
